EPD Local Information Board
The dominant way to get information these days is via the Internet via PC, smartphone and mobile devices.
However, the information tends to be biased towards the interests of the recipients. For example,
information on local disaster prevention and social interaction needs to have a broader appeal, but if it
doesn't match the needs of the recipient, it is difficult to share the content. In this situation, electronic
paper display community bulletin boards are gaining attention in the United States. This is where
electronic paper displays come in handy, as they allow users to make new discoveries that they might not
otherwise have access to. If you want to learn more about the content, you can access the web page using
the QR code on the site. In addition, senders can easily upload and post content that matches their target
audience, such as regional characteristics, age range, delivery content and delivery time, via a web browser.
It will be the next generation information acquisition device, not TV or radio, and not the web.

EPD Home Community Bulletin Board
During disasters and emergencies, people are known to be at the mercy of fake news and hoaxes. Reliable
information that identifies the source of the information is essential. Also, with limited power during a
disaster, it is difficult to move to get information on your phone or mobile, so you need a system that can
automatically receive and confirm information.
What we would like to contribute to in such an emergency is a "community-based bulletin board" using our
EPD system. It usually provides localized information and other information, but in the event of a power
supply interruption, it will automatically switch to battery power. However, the EPD system requires power
only when you want to change the content on the screen, and it is possible to keep the screen display
without power. Since the system is capable of LTE communication, it can accurately receive and display
disaster information from reliable sources. We recommend that you consider installing the system not only
in your home, but also in a bulletin board in your apartment, a community center, or a school that serves as
an evacuation center.

Technology is further transforming the new normal. One of them is the transportation system. From mobile electronic payments to smartphone app services through the introduction of location systems, the digital trend has certainly begun in the cab industry. It goes without saying that digitalization is also providing great support as a way to increase customer satisfaction. However, there is a need for a device that can be embraced by the young and elderly, who are often referred to as the information-deprived, and EPD cab pick-up systems contribute to intuitive operation and high visibility, including cab location information and vehicle call functions that were difficult to see on smartphones. When installed at hotel reception desks, hospitals, restaurants, etc., the system makes cab use more enjoyable and comfortable.

EPD Handy Menu Board
Ordering via a touch screen terminal has become very popular, but it gets mixed reviews because the menu content doesn't look the same and the controls are complicated and difficult to understand. This is especially true for stores that insist on
handwritten menus or change menus every day, so the effort required is greater than for electronic menus. This is where an electronic paper display (EPD) handy menu board (Busola Scribble) comes in handy. Scan the handwritten menu and upload
it to the server via a browser. The content can then be easily changed using a dedicated terminal (Busola Cast). It is as thin as paper and can be placed on a table without getting in the way. Unlike LCDs, e-paper displays require power only when the
content is changed, so they can be displayed cordless (no power).

Smart Appliance
In a smart city where everything is "connected", appliances and furniture will also be digitized and have
even more features. For example, we're starting to see some practical applications, such as the ability to
manage refrigerator inventory and have AI come up with the best menu for you. The monitor will be
responsible for the interface that scans the functions that make such comfort possible. Smoothly "seeing"
and "connecting" is what in-touch excels at especially with its built-in highly sensitive touch sensor.
In-touch is a product that realized light weight and thinness by putting a touch panel sensor in TFT glass.
By incorporating the touch sensor into the cell part, the capacity for the touch panel is no longer necessary.
As a result, the cell width can be narrowed and the depth can be thin, contributing to the design of the
case. In addition, the PCAP (Projected Capacitance Analysis) method is used, which eliminates physical
contact degradation and offers superior durability.
In-Touch is a registered trademark of LG Display Co.
